Do you live or run a business in Spain? Then this page is for you, if you prefer an examiner who speaks English. We work with residents, second-home owners, employers and law firms. Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and other Spanish cities are covered, and online anywhere in the country. The examination takes place in a reserved private room or at an address you choose. There is no public-facing office with a sign on the door. Accuracy sits at 95–98%, and the written conclusion reaches you within 24 hours.
Global Experts Union runs voluntary examinations across Spain, in Spanish or English. There is no public office. Instead, the test is held in a reserved private room, at your address or online. A certified polygraph examiner runs every session. Accuracy is 95–98%, and the written conclusion arrives within 24 hours. Prices start from $425. Bookings: 7 days a week, 08:00–22:00.
The matters that bring people to us are sensitive. So it helps to discuss them in your own language. Nobody will rush you.
The interview, the questions and the report are all in English. A half-understood language produces muddy data. Therefore this matters more than it seems.
We deliberately do not run a public office. You meet the examiner in a reserved room or at your own address. So no neighbour, colleague or receptionist learns why you are there.
Usually examinations follow recognised comparison-question techniques. Besides that, everything is recorded on computerised equipment. So a second specialist can review the charts later.
Finally, you receive a signed document with the agreed questions and the method. The finding for each question is there too. A lawyer, a manager or a partner can read it without help.
Examinations are held in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Pontevedra and Badajoz. Other cities are possible by prior arrangement.
Sometimes you are between Spain and your home country, or far from a city. Then a supervised online lie detector test is run by the same examiner.
Four steps, and the examinee knows each of them in advance.

The instrument measures changes the body makes on its own. These are breathing, pulse, blood pressure and sweating of the skin. The autonomic nervous system controls them. So they shift sharply when a question touches something the person hides. However, the examiner never judges a single spike. The conclusion comes from comparing answers to different types of questions. Only a consistent pattern counts.
That is why preparation takes almost as long as the recording itself. Every question is read out, discussed and reworded. In the end, the examinee understands it exactly as the examiner does. Consent is signed before any sensor is attached. Also, the person being tested can stop at any moment.
First, a free message exchange. First we find out whether the test can answer your question. Then we agree on the city, the place and the date.
Before the recording, the examiner meets the examinee in private and explains the sensors. Then the wording of three to five key questions is settled.
The same questions are asked more than once, in a changing order. So a one-off burst of nerves is not mistaken for a reaction.
Finally, the charts are scored. You receive a written, signed conclusion within 24 hours.
We have no public office in Spain. That is a choice rather than a gap. In practice, the address itself can give the reason away. For example, a car parked outside such an office tells a story. Instead, the examiner works from a reserved private room in the city centre. Or the examiner comes to the address you name. That may be your home, your company or your lawyer's office.
In person, we work in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Pontevedra and Badajoz. Besides these, other cities are possible by arrangement. Travel is quoted separately. Anywhere else in Spain, the supervised online format is available.

The requests below come up again and again. Is your situation different? Describe it, and we will say honestly whether testing can help.
Couples living abroad often have fewer people to turn to. So a single test on one episode can end months of suspicion.
Missing cash, unrecorded sales and stock that leaves through the back door. Usually a seasonal business with a changing team.
Owners who spend months away can check the people who hold their keys. Housekeepers, caretakers, drivers and property managers, for example.
International companies can add a voluntary test to their normal checks. Finance, security and management roles come first.
Several people had access and nobody admits anything? Then testing the group narrows the circle, without public accusations.
For example, inheritance, business partnerships and property deals between people who once trusted each other. Often the result helps both sides settle.
A lie detector test in Spain starts at $425. The final figure depends on the session length and the number of questions. Travel to your address also matters. Sessions run in English or Spanish. For other languages, please check the terms with our coordinator. Besides that, a supervised online test costs from $205. Rates for every country we cover are listed on the lie detector test costs page.
Prices are indicative. A coordinator confirms the final cost at booking, or once the type of service is clear.

Global Experts Union is led by Anton Vertel, a certified polygraph examiner and profiler-verifier. The training behind that is practical psychology and philosophical anthropology. A team of certified examiners works alongside. Together they handle the cases we take on in Spain.
However, the instrument is only as good as the person reading it. The same charts can lead an untrained operator to the wrong answer. Therefore every recording is kept and can be re-scored by a colleague.
We will not tell a client what they want to hear. So if the result is inconclusive, the conclusion says exactly that.
What people usually want to know before they book.

Spanish courts do not accept such a result as proof. However, it is used in private matters. Typical examples are family decisions and workplace investigations. There it helps people and their lawyers decide what to do next. The test is always voluntary.
Plan for one and a half to three hours in total. At the end of the session the examiner can share a preliminary view. The signed written conclusion follows within 24 hours.
With a certified examiner and properly worded questions, accuracy is 95–98%. Computerised equipment is part of that. However, where the reactions are not clear enough, the conclusion states that the result is inconclusive.
No. An employee takes the test only voluntarily, after signing consent. A refusal is not an admission. Personal data is handled under the GDPR and Spain's Organic Law 3/2018.
Yes. The examiner can come to your home, your office or your lawyer's office. The price of the visit is agreed in advance. You only need a quiet room.
Spain is home to large British, Irish, Scandinavian, Dutch and German communities. Many more people own property here and spend part of the year in the country. When one of them needs an examination, the first obstacle is rarely the price. It is the language. Asked a delicate question in a second language, a person hesitates and translates in their head. The body then reacts to the effort of understanding, not to the content. As a result, the charts pick up that stress. A clean result becomes harder to reach. Running the whole examination in English removes this problem before it starts.
Two rubber tubes around the chest and stomach follow breathing. Also, a cuff on the upper arm tracks blood pressure and pulse. Small plates on two fingers measure the electrical conductance of the skin. It rises with sweating. Finally, a sensor pad on the seat notices movement. Together these channels draw a continuous picture of the body's behaviour. None of the sensors sends anything into the body. They only read.
Besides that, a modern examination is not a list of accusations. It mixes relevant questions about the event with comparison questions. An honest person usually reacts to the comparison questions more than to the relevant ones. Sometimes the pattern is reversed and the relevant questions provoke the stronger response. Then the examiner has grounds to report signs of deception. This structure separates a professional test from the improvised "truth machine" seen on television.
No Spanish law regulates this kind of testing as such. Spanish courts, in turn, do not admit a result as evidence of guilt or innocence. However, that does not make the test pointless. In private life and business it helps to settle doubts. It also guides an internal investigation. Besides that, a lawyer sees more clearly what a client can prove by other means. The one fixed rule is consent. Nobody can be tested without agreeing in writing, and a refusal carries no legal consequence.
An examination produces health-related and highly personal information. In Spain it falls under the GDPR and the Organic Law 3/2018. That law covers data protection and digital rights. In practice, the examinee is told what is recorded and why. The file goes only to the person who ordered the test. It is kept no longer than needed. Finally, if you want the recording deleted, we delete it.
Spanish employment law puts great weight on the dignity and privacy of workers. So a test at work must be offered, not imposed. Companies that use it properly present it differently. For staff, it is a way to clear their names after a loss. They explain the procedure in advance. A refusal is never tied to disciplinary action. Used in this spirit, a group test reassures the honest majority. It also finds the person responsible.
Hotels, beach clubs, bars and restaurants on the Spanish coast share a familiar problem. Usually staff change every season and cash moves quickly. Besides that, stock is hard to count at the end of a busy night. When the numbers stop adding up, the owner usually has a short list of names. A structured examination of that group is often the fastest way to find the gap. It is carried out quietly, outside working hours, so the season is not disrupted.
Owners who live abroad for months depend on caretakers, cleaners, gardeners and property managers. All of them have full access to the house. When valuables go missing, the owner is often thousands of kilometres away. So we test the people involved on the spot. The owner follows the process remotely and receives the written conclusion by e-mail.
Moving to another country puts pressure on a couple. One partner may work long hours or travel. The other, meanwhile, has fewer friends nearby. So suspicion grows easily. A test on one clearly defined question gives both people something firmer than guesswork. For example: did a particular meeting happen, was a particular message sent. It helps if both partners agree beforehand on what they will do with the answer.
Buying a business or a property abroad means relying on what other people tell you. The legal system is still new to you. So a buyer can ask a future partner or seller to confirm specific statements. For example: no hidden debts, no other claims on the asset, no side agreements. The other party has to agree, of course. However, a willingness to take the test is in itself informative.
We postpone the examination in several cases. These are fever, a serious heart condition, alcohol or drugs, and late pregnancy. Strong sedatives and some other medicines also flatten the reactions. Therefore the examinee should mention any regular medication at booking. Postponing is better than producing a result nobody can trust.
The internet is full of advice on how to fool the test. Typical tips are to bite your tongue, press your toes or count backwards. An experienced examiner knows all of them. Besides that, they leave recognisable marks on the charts. Irregular breathing and movement on the seat sensor are the usual ones. The conclusion then notes an attempt at countermeasures. As a result, the person's position rarely improves.
Get a normal night's sleep and eat a light meal a couple of hours before. Also avoid alcohol the day before, and do not overdo coffee. Also bring glasses if you need them to read the consent form. There is no point in rehearsing answers. The questions are discussed openly before the recording. Besides that, the method takes nerves into account.
The starting price of $425 covers the preliminary consultation and the pre-test interview. The recording, the analysis of the charts and a signed conclusion are included too. Travel outside the main cities is agreed separately with the coordinator. The same goes for several examinees on one day, or a session in another language. Finally, you receive the full cost before the appointment, not after it.
Sometimes the person lives far from a big city or spends the winter abroad. Others simply need an answer quickly. In that case, a supervised online examination is available from $205. It follows the same structure as an in-person session. The examiner guides the setup over video and monitors conditions throughout. For the method and the company, see the Global Experts Union home page.
